Job Summary

Lead strategic planning for UNFPA operations in Yaoundé, managing targets across financial services, procurement, IT, travel, and logistics. Ensure integrity of financial systems, review budgets, and monitor exception reports for unusual transactions. Supervise operations staff through performance appraisals and transparent leadership while overseeing official travel, premises, and joint procurement with other UN agencies. Coordinate HR administration with the Regional HRBP, manage payroll and leave monitoring, and implement global HR procedures using the ERP system. Drive compliance with security standards, represent UNFPA in the Security Management Team, and build partnerships to enhance delivery capacities and cost effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Postgraduate university degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Management or other related field
  • Seven (7) years of experience in development in a governmental, multilateral or civil society organization in a multi-cultural setting
  • 3 or more years' experience in managing teams in a complex organizational setting
  • Fluency in English
  • Field experience
  • Solid knowledge in procurement, financial and human resources management, contract, asset, and information and communication technology
  • Experience in international development and dedication to the principles of the United Nations
