Job Summary
Lead strategic planning for UNFPA operations, setting management targets and overseeing a portfolio spanning financial services, procurement, IT, travel, logistics, and common services. Drive business process re-engineering, monitor financial exception reports, and ensure compliance with UN policies while building capacity through coaching and mentoring. Manage day-to-day administrative HR support, payroll, and leave monitoring in coordination with the Regional HRBP, and represent UNFPA in security management and inter-agency meetings to enhance delivery capacities. Serve as the Human Resources Focal Point for regional personnel, ensuring timely administration and accurate advice on HR processes.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate university degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or other related field
- Seven (7) years of experience in development in a governmental, multilateral or civil society organization in a multi-cultural setting
- 3 or more years' experience in managing teams in a complex organizational setting
- Solid knowledge in procurement, financial and human resources management, contract, asset, and information and communication technology
- Ability to lead business process re-engineering, to implement new systems, and to positively affect staff behavioural/attitudinal changes
- Ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management and reporting, formulation and monitoring of projects/programmes
- Experience in international development and dedication to the principles of the United Nations
