Job Summary

Lead strategic planning for UNFPA country operations, managing targets across financial services, procurement, IT, travel, logistics, and common services. Supervise operations staff through performance appraisals while ensuring budget integrity, travel oversight, and timely HR administration coordination. Drive compliance with security standards, represent the office in inter-agency meetings, and foster partnerships to enhance delivery capacities. Monitor financial exception reports, implement business process improvements, and mentor teams on operational excellence and project management. Ensure transparent leadership and accountability for all business functions supporting the 2030 Agenda.

Required Qualifications

  • Postgraduate university degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Management or other related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in development in a governmental, multilateral or civil society organization in a multi-cultural setting
  • 3 or more years' experience in managing teams in a complex organizational setting
  • Solid knowledge in procurement, financial and human resources management, contract, asset, and information and communication technology
  • Ability to lead business process re-engineering, to implement new systems, and to positively affect staff behavioural/attitudinal changes
  • Ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management and reporting, formulation and monitoring of projects/programmes
  • Experience in international development and dedication to the principles of the United Nations
