Job Summary
Lead regional operations by ensuring effective, efficient, and transparent execution of UNFPA's strategic direction across the region. Monitor and guide internal control mechanisms, manage financial resources and procurement, and oversee implementing partners to meet annual targets. Provide advisory support to Country Offices on operational issues, develop administrative policies, and coordinate with headquarters business units to disseminate best practices. Build capacity through coaching staff on budget, logistics, and risk management while representing the region in working groups to advance efficiency and reform agendas.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate university degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or other related field
- At least seven (7) years of experience in development in a governmental, multilateral or civil society organization in a multi-cultural setting
- 3 or more years' experience in managing teams in a complex organizational setting
- Field experience
- Fluency in English
- Solid knowledge in procurement, financial and human resources management, contract, asset, and information and communication technology
- Experience in international development and dedication to the principles of the United Nations
