Job Summary
Quote and route international freight shipments into the USA and Mexico across all transport modes, preparing profitable quotations and setting schedules with customers, deliverers, and ports. Coordinate day-to-day import and export operations by reviewing orders, tracking shipments, and resolving delays or deviations immediately. Troubleshoot operational challenges and partner with local sales teams to communicate issues to customers and global offices while ensuring compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Manage data entry, billing, and recovery schedules with cartage agents and international partners to meet AIT KPIs and customer SOP instructions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma degree or equivalent
- 2+ years Industry experience in export/import operations
- 2+ years Working knowledge of Freight Forwarder International Operations including: Basic IATA/NVOCC, FAA, TSA, Export Regulations, AES and General CBP knowledge
- Cargo-wise within 1-1/2 Yrs
- Microsoft Office suite within 1-1/2 Yrs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree degree or equivalent
- 2+ years Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced working environment
- 2+ years Ability to problem solving to resolutions meeting the customers' needs
- Basic knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA work experience/regulations (High proficiency)
- General Computer Skills (Medium proficiency)
