Job Summary
Manage direct client, customs, and agent relationships to ensure efficient global cargo movement. Prepare documentation for export, import, and customs clearance while tracking and tracing shipments to guarantee proper delivery. Communicate with clients regarding freight disposition, routing, dispatching, and rate quotations, and provide accurate billing information to the accounting department. Coordinate with other company branches and agents to ensure excellent service execution and identify the most profitable shipment modes. Requires strong communication skills, organizational ability, and knowledge of import/export regulations in a fast-paced environment. May involve travel to client and site locations for on-site support during go-live periods.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years related experience
- Must possess strong working knowledge of all rules, regulations, governance and documentation preparations, as it pertains to both Imports and Exports
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent client service skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
- Ability to handle pressure and responsibility in a fast-paced environment, in a timely and effective manner
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
