Job Summary
Present breaking news, interviews, and feature stories on-air while moderating discussions to uphold journalistic standards. Conduct interviews with newsmakers and experts, then research topics and review materials to ensure accurate coverage. Collaborate with producers and editors to develop segment concepts, scripts, and content for broadcast, radio, and social media. Adapt and translate English content into Spanish, voice material for broadcasts, and edit taped content as assigned. Represent the organization at public events and audience engagement initiatives. Meet OCB productivity standards and deadlines while contributing to workflow improvements within the USAGM team.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in target language (written, spoken)
- Deep knowledge of the target area
- Ability to adapt stories into English as assigned
- Ability to adapt and/or translate content produced in English into Spanish, as assigned
- Versions content produced in native language into Spanish for distribution, as assigned
- Must pass a thorough background check
