Job Summary
Conduct evaluations of Customs data to identify non-compliance and triage mail pieces for violations of export control, foreign lottery, and USPS revenue products. Handle mail through hold, return, and seizure processes, then render items to Program Managers or Postal Inspectors for investigation. Perform data-mining of Postal records to identify fraudulent activity, prepare analytical reports, and disseminate findings to contacts. Document and report all instances of non-compliance while moving cleared items to dispatch. Complete assigned tasks within required timeframes to support criminal or civil investigations and assist Global Security with intelligence preparation.
Required Qualifications
- An Associates Degree (or equivalent college credit) from an accredited college or university
- minimum of (5) five years of work experience
- Ability to review financial information

- Proficiency conducting research on the internet and commercial as well as public databases
- Extensive experience performing appropriate analytical techniques and methods when conducting international mail control and security related activities
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direct supervision

- Extensive experience supporting the preparation of a final work product
- Must be a U.S Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
- Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
- Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening
- 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years
- Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees
- Standing for prolonged and extended periods of time
- Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time
- Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time
- Must be physically able to perform efficiently the duties of the position, which require arduous exertion involving prolonged standing, walking, bending and reaching, and may involve the handling of heavy containers of mail and parcels weighing up to 70 pounds
