International Individual Consultant: Logistics Analyst, Western Cluster, Lubumbashi

Job Summary

Coordinate all logistics activities within the Western Cluster, ensuring efficient planning, deployment, storage, transportation, and recovery of census equipment across provinces. Prepare cluster logistics implementation plans, support budgeting, and coordinate deployment schedules while supervising provincial logistics hubs and monitoring warehouse performance. Manage last-mile distribution and return logistics, engage transport providers, and identify risks to propose mitigation measures for emergency response. Contribute to strengthening coordination between the Bureau Central du Recensement, provincial authorities, and logistics partners to establish a decentralized logistics coordination model. Produce regular cluster logistics reports, monitor KPIs, and consolidate provincial information. This 11-month full-time consultancy requires extensive travel throughout the cluster and reports directly to the Logistics Specialist.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Related discipline
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in Humanitarian Logistics
  • Experience in Warehouse Management
  • Experience in Transport Management
  • Experience in Large-scale operational deployments
  • Experience in National logistics coordination
  • Previous experience with UN Agencies
  • Previous experience with Census operations
  • Previous experience with Emergency logistics
  • Previous experience with Multi-site logistics operations
  • French language proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel)
  • 11 months Full-time commitment
  • Extensive travel throughout the Western Cluster
  • Travel to provincial logistics hubs, warehouses, training sites and operational areas
