Job Summary
Manage controllership activities for IMG Commercial entities across the Americas and Europe, including France, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and PIMGSA. Own the general ledger, ensure US GAAP compliance, and lead period-end accounting, quarterly reporting, and statutory audits. Drive internal controls, budgeting, and the annual group audit process while liaising with treasury for cash flow forecasting and funding requirements. Lead the offshore shared service team relationship, oversee payroll and HR expense recording, and manage third-party advisors for technical accounting memos and transfer pricing.
Required Qualifications
- Progressive experience in audit and accounting
- Big 4 experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- ~5+ years PQE
- Strong technical accounting skills, including drafting accounting papers
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience operating SOX controls
- Strong understanding of financial processes (close, reporting, controls)
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently to resolve issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong Excel skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative team player, comfortable working with commercial teams
- Calm under pressure with a strong delivery focus
- Interest in sports
- Ideally media/sports events such as golf or winter sports
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of IFRS / UK GAAP
- Team management experience
- Experience in a global organisation
- Industry exposure to media or sports rights
- Familiarity with SAP and OneSource Tax Provision
