Job Summary
Paralegal II for international patent work, focusing on foreign filing and PCT applications. Manages foreign prosecution deadlines, coordinates with foreign associates, prepares and files PCT and foreign applications, maintains client data in firm systems, drafts announcements and process improvements, and supports training of newer paralegals. Works toward a 1200 billable hour goal, collaborates on larger patent prosecution projects, and may assist with due diligence and periodic software/databases testing. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment within a team setting, with hybrid work options in the Boston/NYC/DC area. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-6 years foreign patent prosecution experience in a law firm or corporate setting
- Proficient in MS Office as well as computer and database management skills
- Experience with CPi, IPDAS, and general time entry
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Strong time management, prioritization, problem-solving, and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to adhere to established work schedule, but with flexibility required to respond to workload demands including overtime requests when needed
- Punctual, reliable, and able to meet set deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of matters and other firm business information
