Job Summary
Process and manage international orders from receipt through final delivery, serving as the primary point of contact for customers to provide shipment updates and resolve inquiries. Coordinate high-volume export shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and overseas partners while preparing, reviewing, and validating export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Ensure compliance with export regulations, Incoterms, and international shipping procedures, then monitor shipment status to proactively communicate delays and resolve transportation issues. Prepare customer invoices, verify billing accuracy, and review vendor invoices for discrepancies, collaborating with Finance teams to support payment processing and account reconciliations. Maintain accurate records within internal systems and generate operational reports to identify efficiency improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in export operations, international customer service, order processing, billing, and logistics
- Strong understanding of export documentation, shipping procedures, Incoterms, and invoicing
- Experience coordinating shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and overseas partners
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to resolve shipment and order issues efficiently
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Experience with ERP, order management, shipping, or inventory systems preferred
- Experience working with international freight forwarding or export compliance software is a plus
