Job Summary
Manage the full PO lifecycle by creating, tracking, and maintaining purchase orders from requisition through receipt while resolving discrepancies quickly. Own overseas supplier relationships by leading weekly calls, managing delivery commitments, and driving 2–5% cost reductions through negotiation. Keep inventory moving by monitoring stock levels, processing commercial invoices, and coordinating shipments across domestic and international channels. Track and improve supplier performance by monitoring on-time delivery and quality metrics, flagging issues early, and holding vendors to clear expectations. Handle engineering changes and samples by processing notifications, managing sample POs, and supporting qualification documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Proven multitasker — able to juggle POs, supplier calls, shipments, and discrepancies simultaneously
- Overseas procurement experience — managed international supplier relationships and understands cross-border sourcing
- Clear communicator — writes and speaks directly, asks the right questions, and closes the loop without being chased
- Logical problem-solver — able to trace and resolve quantity discrepancies, invoice mismatches, and missed delivery dates
- SAP proficiency — comfortable maintaining the buyer workbench and processing transactions in SAP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience negotiating international contracts and driving cost reductions
- Comfortable working across time zones when needed
