Job Summary
Perform nursing assessments, analyze data for diagnoses, and develop individualized care plans for patients in the emergency room. Implement therapeutic interventions, document care accurately and timely, and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery. Maintain safety awareness, follow established protocols during emergency situations, and incorporate hourly rounding into daily practice. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, manage staffing conflicts, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to all Medical Center policies, policies, and procedures while demonstrating leadership and delegation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS nursing licensure, limited permit or eligible
- Excellent communication skills and writing ability
- Must be able to lift, pull, push, and move patients of various size, capabilities and abilities
- Required to be on feet much of the time
- Category I exposure to blood and body fluid or tissues
