Job Summary
Travel Nursing role in the Emergency Departments across Nova Scotia Health's Provincial Internal Travel Nurse Team. Nurses will work in diverse ED settings province-wide with flexible assignments based on operational need, benefiting from paid travel and accommodations and a competitive salary scale with industry-standard premiums. Requires licensure with NSCN, a minimum of 3 years emergency nursing experience, CTAS, EPICC or TNCC, BLS, ALS, PALS, trauma and critical care qualifications, and a valid driver's license. Shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays; permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly and opportunities to explore multiple communities.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN)
- A minimum of 3 years emergency nursing experience
- CTAS (Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale) required
- EPICC – Foundations (Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care – Canada) or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required
- Current BLS or BLS-C (Basic Life Support) required
- Current ACLS or TNCC (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
- Current PALS or EPICC – Pediatrics (Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care – Canada) or ENPC (Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course) required
- Trauma course – EPICC - Trauma (Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care – Canada) or Rural Trauma Program or TNCC required
- Emergency Nursing Program or Critical Care Nursing Program an asset
- ENC (C) Certification an asset
- Alternative qualifications may be considered for areas with staffing gaps
- Must have valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- EPICC – Foundations (Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care – Canada) or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required
