Job Summary
Nurse: Permanent full-time, Provincial Internal Travel Nurse Team across Nova Scotia. Provide Critical Care/CCU and ICU coverage in diverse communities with assignments scheduled to balance operational needs and nurse preferences. Eligible for Nova Scotia registration; CCNP/ENP or equivalent Critical Care training required. Must have minimum 3 years Critical Care experience, BLS, ACLS/RQI/ALS, strong communication, and ongoing education. Willingness to perform ambulance transports; valid driver’s license; French language skills are an asset. Includes paid travel and accommodations and a competitive salary with an added premium for travel assignments. Shifts include days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays; permanent full-time. Symptoms: travel across the province to support rural health access.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and eligible for registration in the province of Nova Scotia
- Completion of an approved Critical Care Course/Critical Care Certificate/CCNP or Emergency Nursing Program (ENP)
- A minimum of 3 years Critical Care nursing experience
- BLS certification
- Current ACLS/RQI ALS certification
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Evidence of ongoing relevant education
- Willingness to do ambulance transports
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
