Job Summary
Maintain cemetery grounds, locate, prepare and record burial plots and columbarium, and assist public and monument dealers with grave locations. Operate as Equipment Operator II (Light) when cemetery work is not available. Requires a valid Class D driver’s license with Z endorsement for air brake vehicles, working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and strong public-interfacing and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to operate departmental equipment including trucks, tractor with mower
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Valid Class “D” driver’s license with a “Z” endorsement for air brake vehicles
- Courteous and polite manner with the public
- Organizational skills
