Job Summary
Coordinate and implement a grant-based after school program in accordance with district policies, overseeing daily operations, hiring staff, and managing student enrollment records. Engage staff to develop instructional practices linking the school day curriculum with the extended day program while working with community and school district partners to integrate program components. Develop procedures, recruit and supervise staff including scheduling and substitute coverage, and maintain budget documentation and grant reports. Promote program information to students, parents, and the community. Work hours are generally 3:30-5:30, Tuesday through Thursday, with additional preparation time required. This stipend position is contingent on grant funding continuation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Current USD #116 employee
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Administrative endorsement or equivalent
- Bilingual Spanish / English
- Experience in the field of education, recreation, and/or grant management
- Experience working with community organizations
- Experience in Bilingual education
- Ability to manage both daytime and extended day duties
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment regarding student conduct
- Leadership ability in all areas of administering the program, instruction, and assessment
- Experience maintaining fiscal records, collection of data, reporting requirements
