**Internal Only** King Reading Rally After School Program Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate and implement a grant-based after school program in accordance with district policies, overseeing staff hiring, scheduling, and daily student supervision. Develop instructional practices linking the school day curriculum with the extended day, recruit and manage staff including stipend requests and substitute coverage, and maintain enrollment records and class schedules. Facilitate project-based enrichment programming, manage program logistics and materials, and reconcile budget documentation while meeting grant reporting deadlines. Engage students and families through outreach, collaborate with community and school district partners, and conduct orientation training for extended day staff. Work hours are generally 3:00-4:30 PM, Tuesday through Thursday, with additional time required for preparation and coordination. This stipend position supports the King Reading Rally initiative at King Elementary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Current USD #116 employee
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness and ability to plan, design and implement a grant program
- Experience coordinating programs
- Experience in the field of education, recreation, and/or grant management
- Experience working with community organizations
- Experience in Bilingual education
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Administrative endorsement or equivalent
- Bilingual Spanish / English
- Ability to manage both daytime and extended day duties
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment regarding student conduct
- Leadership ability in all areas of administering the program, instruction, and assessment
- Experience maintaining fiscal records, collection of data, reporting requirements
