Job Summary
Coordinate and implement the grant-based after school program in accordance with district policies and regulations. Oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and manage student enrollment records while developing instructional practices that link the school day curriculum with extended day activities. Recruit, hire, and supervise staff including planning schedules, reviewing timesheets, and arranging substitute coverage. Facilitate orientation training, collaborate with community and school district partners to integrate program components, and maintain budget documentation and required grant reports. Promote program information to students, parents, and the community. Work hours are generally 3:30-5:30, Tuesday through Thursday, with additional time required for preparation and coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Administrative endorsement or equivalent
- Internal USD #116 employee
- Must be a current USD #116 employee
- Must be available for session hours at their building location and additional time as required to prepare and coordinate the program
- Must be able to plan, design and implement a grant program
- Experience coordinating programs
- Experience in the field of education, recreation, and/or grant management
- Experience working with community organizations
- Experience in Bilingual education
- Ability to manage both daytime and extended day duties
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment regarding student conduct
- Leadership ability in all areas of administering the program, instruction, and assessment
- Experience maintaining fiscal records, collection of data, reporting requirements

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish / English
