Job Summary
Coordinate and implement grant-based after school programs for grades 2-5, overseeing daily operations, staff hiring, and student supervision. Develop instructional practices linking the school day curriculum with extended day activities while managing project-based enrichment focused on college and career awareness. Recruit and supervise staff, maintain enrollment records, and reconcile budget documentation to meet grant reporting deadlines. Collaborate with community partners, classroom teachers, and the administrative team to integrate program components and facilitate stakeholder engagement. Manage program logistics including room assignments and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with district policies and funding regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Administrative endorsement or equivalent
- Must be a current USD #116 employee
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness and ability to plan design and implement a grant program
- Experience coordinating programs
- Experience in the field of education, recreation, and/or grant management
- Experience working with community organizations
- Ability to manage both daytime and extended day duties
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment regarding student conduct
- Leadership ability in all areas of administering the program, instruction, and assessment
- Experience maintaining fiscal records, collection of data, reporting requirements
- Must be available for session hours at their building location and additional time as required to prepare and coordinate the program
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in Bilingual education
- Bilingual Spanish / English
- Experience in the field of education, recreation, and/or grant management
