Job Summary
Coordinate and implement grant-based after school programs for grades 2-5, overseeing daily operations, staff hiring, and scheduling. Develop instructional practices linking the school day curriculum with extended day enrichment focused on college and career awareness. Recruit, hire, and supervise staff while managing budgets, documentation, and community partnerships. Engage students and families through outreach and facilitate orientation trainings for all program personnel. Maintain student records, reconcile financial reports, and complete required grant documentation and data collection. Work outside standard school hours to prepare and coordinate program logistics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Administrative endorsement or equivalent
- Must be a current USD #116 employee
- Experience coordinating programs
- Experience in the field of education, recreation, and/or grant management
- Experience working with community organizations
- Ability to manage both daytime and extended day duties
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment regarding student conduct
- Leadership ability in all areas of administering the program, instruction, and assessment
- Experience maintaining fiscal records, collection of data, reporting requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness and ability to plan design and implement a grant program
- Experience in Bilingual education
- Bilingual Spanish / English
- Experience in the field of education, recreation, and/or grant management
