Job Summary
Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician at MedVet. Responsible for setting up constant rate infusions (CRI), performing medical calculations (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.), inducing, monitoring, and recovering patients from anesthesia, and preparing for ultrasound and radiology procedures. Provides support for endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway), discharges patients with client education, and collaborates with internists to share information and ensure patient care is ongoing. Requires a State Registered Veterinary Technician license (license preferred) and prior veterinary experience; strong math/calculation skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced department; flexible with hours and capable of working additional shifts as needed. Required Qualifications
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred
- Prior veterinary experience required
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions)
- Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
