Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive medical services for patients in both practice and hospital settings, including history and physical examinations, routine health maintenance, and management of treatment programs. Evaluate and implement patient care needs through prescriptions, diagnostic tests, and procedures while reviewing lab results to plan appropriate actions. Provide regular communication with referring physicians, patients, and families, and coordinate care by making referrals to specialists and public health agencies as needed. Educate patients on wellness habits and prevention strategies, and collaborate with nurses, psychologists, and outside agencies regarding patient safety and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty
- Current or recent experience in area of specialty
- MD or DO - licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice
- Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board
