Job Summary
Internal Medicine Physician sought for full-time, outpatient Occupational Medical/Urgent Care clinics in Bakersfield, CA. Role involves evaluating injuries and illnesses, performing routine check-ups, physical examinations (DOT certification a plus), and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team including MDs/DOs, PAs, NPs, orthopedic and hand surgeons, and physical therapists. Candidates should possess a California license and DEA, strong communication, and proficiency with electronic health records. Preferred background includes Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Emergency Room experience; MRO and FMCSA/DOT certification; knowledge of disability ratings; and interest in new technologies. Compensation includes $210k–$265k annual salary plus bonuses, relocation assistance ($5,000), comprehensive benefits, paid time off, CME, malpractice coverage, and licensing support.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and Unrestricted California License and DEA
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records
- DOT Certification a plus
- Collaborate with physicians, PAs, nurses
- DOT exam and FMCSA certification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and examination skills
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling medical information
- Doctor of Medicine degree (MD/DO) and valid license
