Job Summary
Internal Medicine Physician needed in Athens, GA for a 100% outpatient, full-time primary care opportunity. Work Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm with a focus on wellness, prevention, and patient education, ordering and interpreting tests, coordinating referrals, and maintaining documentation and coding (CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10). Responsibilities include supervising mid-level staff and nursing, collaborating with the Medical Director, participating in quality improvement and patient retention/marketing activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Requires a medical degree, Georgia licensure, board certification or eligibility in primary care, current DEA and DPS registrations, and a minimum of two years of direct clinical experience. Location-based duties are outpatient, in Athens, GA with full benefits and competitive salary (over $200k per year).
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
- Board certified or eligible in internal medicine/family practice
- Current DEA and DPS Certification
- Minimum of two years direct clinical experience
- Outpatient practice experience with HMO or managed care is helpful
