Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan. Develop individualized treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging and EKGs, and prescribe medications per regulatory standards. Provide preventive care services such as screenings and immunizations, manage chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, and perform minor office procedures including suturing and joint injections. Coordinate referrals to specialists, supervise nurses and allied health professionals, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health management while complying with clinical guidelines. Work in outpatient primary care settings across Florida, Georgia, and Texas with a typical Monday-Friday schedule, possible evening or weekend coverage, and on-call responsibilities depending on the practice setting.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Completion of accredited residency training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty
- Current unrestricted state medical license
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- DEA registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively within a healthcare team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
- Cultural competency and community-oriented care focus
- Monday-Friday schedule with possible evening or weekend coverage
- On-call responsibilities
