Job Summary
Provide comprehensive medical care, health maintenance, and preventive services for patients across biological and behavioral problems. Deliver medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing patient care while exercising clinical judgment in accordance with accepted standards of practice. Maintain current credentials, licensure, and board certification to fulfill clinical privileges. Complete medical records timely and communicate effectively with clinic staff, insurance representatives, and other providers. Participate in preceptor training for medical assistants and adhere to all HIPAA regulations. Serve as patient advocates regarding specialist referrals and community resources.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency program in the applicable specialty
- Eligibility for, or certification by, the appropriate specialty board
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state
- Active Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license in the State of Nevada
- DEA and Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance licensure
- Current board certification in the applicable specialty or board eligibility in accordance with medical staff bylaws
- Current ACLS (Hospitalists)
- Ability to communicate with employees, physicians, patients and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner
