Job Summary
Internal Medicine Physician needed to provide comprehensive, whole-person primary care for patients of all ages at St. John’s Community Health (SJCH), a federally qualified health center. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests, managing chronic and acute conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care, educating patients and families on disease prevention and treatment plans, documenting care in the EHR, and participating in Saturday coverage and a weekly evening clinic. The role emphasizes health equity, community engagement, and serving underserved communities in Los Angeles County (Compton health center). Requirements include MD or DO, Internal Medicine residency completion, board certification/eligibility, active CA medical license, DEA, BLS, and EHR familiarity. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
- Active California medical license, DEA, and BLS certification
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
