Job Summary
Internal Medicine Core Faculty position in Fresno, CA that is full-time and focused on education and clinical teaching. Responsibilities include supervising and instructing residents and medical students in the outpatient continuity clinic (08:00–17:00, Monday–Friday), maintaining a personal continuity panel, inpatient teaching, remote faculty supervision after-hours, and weekly didactic sessions. Academic leadership duties cover lectures, curriculum development, and scholarly activity, with program governance roles on CCC/PEC, and performance assessments. Opportunities to supervise residents on mobile health unit or community rotations, contribute to QI projects and publications, and participate in program evaluation. Compensation includes relocation assistance and a comprehensive package.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Unrestricted medical license issued by the Medical Board of California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current board certification in Internal Medicine (ABIM)
- Clinical experience in comprehensive outpatient internal medicine and adult inpatient care
- Demonstrated experience teaching residents and/or medical students
- Eligibility for hospital privileges in outpatient internal medicine and inpatient adult medicine
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong commitment to education, scholarly activity, and high-quality patient care
