Job Summary
Conduct linguistically and culturally accurate translations of life sciences documents from Japanese to English, maintaining original structure, style, and factual integrity. Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy. Build strong relationships with the IQVIA Translations Services team to update glossaries, translation memories, style guides, and other internal assets, while identifying gaps in instructions or external issues affecting client commitments. Deliver translations on time while adhering to quality standards, utilizing CAT tools and translation management systems to support operations across Canada and globally.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in Canada
- Native speaker in advertised targeted language
- Fluency in source language(s) (English and Japanese)
- At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents
- A tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience OR no university degree and at least 5 years of translation experience
- Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools
- Functional knowledge of English, both written and spoken
