Job Summary
Own the internal communications strategy for Core Tech by embedding deeply with engineering and security teams to translate complex technical work into credible narratives for the broader organization. Serve as a hands-on advisor to executives, drafting communications in their voice and providing honest counsel on messaging during launches, incidents, or organizational changes. Anticipate communications needs before they arise and execute high-impact internal fora like all-hands meetings and AMAs with operational excellence. Design strategies to boost signal and reduce noise, ensuring employees understand the connection between their work and Anthropic's mission of building safe, beneficial AI systems.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in communications or an adjacent craft where you learned to make complex, high-stakes material clear under pressure
- Are an exceptional writer with a particular talent for distilling technical decisions and cross-functional projects into simple, compelling narratives
- Have served as a trusted advisor to senior leaders
- Can embed credibly with engineers and security practitioners
- See the big picture and are able to connect individual team updates to company strategy and mission
- Have a keen eye for organizational culture
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
- Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Have experience communicating about security, infrastructure, or other deeply technical domains
- Have worked at AI companies, frontier tech companies, or other organizations where the technical work moves faster than most people can follow
- Have built or run internal communications programs during periods of rapid organizational growth
