Job Summary

Conduct Financial Compliance 52-109 audits by evaluating risks, designing audit procedures, and assessing the operating effectiveness of internal controls. Formulate and document deficiencies with control owners, develop conclusions, and provide recommendations for process improvements. Draft audit report findings, perform follow-up reviews to verify management action plans, and provide periodic updates to the Senior Manager. Assist in Application conversions and upgrade audits by advising on control design, monitoring project progress, and completing tests on project controls. Support external audit reliance requirements by providing results and working papers, and act as a first response for control-related questions. Participate in advisory mandates to improve control efficiency and effectiveness while supporting ad-hoc requests from management and the Audit Committee. Requires 2-4 years of audit experience, a Bachelor's degree, and bilingual communication skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or in a related field
  • Professional designation, or in process of completion (CPA CA, CIA, CFE or equivalent)
  • 2-4 years minimum of experience in audit; internal audit and financial compliance experience is a plus
  • Provide clear, concise information to others via verbal or written communication in both English and French
  • Understands Internal Audit's purpose and role within the organization
  • Must understand generally accepted auditing standards, common audit procedures and techniques and risk management frameworks
  • General knowledge of the purposes and concepts of accounting standards: IFRS, COSO, NI 52-109 Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic experience in data analytics techniques and tools such as Power BI
  • Knowledge of the basic concepts of an ERP system
  • Knowledge of SAP applications
  • Acts as an ethical, proactive, and objective professional
  • Use a collaborative and inclusive approach with individuals and teams, engaging others with warmth, sincerity, and transparency
  • Accepts personal responsibility for delivering results
  • Able to manage and prioritize workload in a constantly changing environment, ensuring quality of work while meeting deadlines
  • Mobility as function requires travel 5%-10%
  • Canada and the United States
  • Eligibility to a TN Visa is required
  • Communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America
