Job Summary
Conduct audits for organizational functions, policies, internal controls, and financial processes, including reviewing records, systems, and procurement to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Perform fieldwork to gather information, analyze financial data, and conduct risk assessments. Draft detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations for corrective actions, and areas for improvement while working closely with leadership to implement best practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government auditing standards and emerging regulations, completing special projects in a timely manner within a team environment. Full-time, direct hire position requiring residence in the City of Buffalo, with a salary range of $55,000 to $67,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in Auditing of Accounting
- Associate's Degree
- Must live in the City of Buffalo or move to the city within 6 months of start date
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Excel & various financial software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analysis and interpretation skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
