Job Summary
Plan or support audit engagements for the Hong Kong Branch by identifying risks, defining objectives, and ensuring documentation complies with internal audit methodology. Draft and finalize audit reports, assess root causes of issues, and independently review remedial measures to validate risk mitigation within agreed timeframes. Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams, including IT auditors and data analytics specialists, while providing guidance and developmental feedback to team members. Coordinate audits with auditees, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the annual risk assessment and audit planning process. Perform special assignments or investigations as instructed by the Head of Internal Audit.
Required Qualifications
- At least Bachelor's degree
- Between 3 to 8 years post-graduate experience in auditing
- Experience preferably in the Wealth Management industry
- Good knowledge of local banking and relevant regulatory body rules and regulations in Hong Kong
- Must comply with local practices (including regulatory expectations)
- Must comply with GIA internal audit methodology
- Must comply with the Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
- Possesses strong organization ability and time management skills
- Meticulous, eye for detail
- Preparedness for limited (up to 20%) travelling
Desired Qualifications
- CA, CPA and/or CIA
- Candidates holding recognised AML certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)
- Knowledge of banking and regulatory requirement of Singapore
- Excellent inter-personal skills
