Job Summary
Prepare for and lead client interviews, documenting results via narratives, flowcharts, and process maps for complex business processes. Analyze process documentation to evaluate control design effectiveness and efficiency, while identifying internal control weaknesses, risks, and root causes. Communicate audit issues to management and the engagement manager, and create work papers adhering to Truist Audit Services procedures. Evaluate how the line of business controls identified risks and continue developing internal audit skills through constructive feedback. Gain knowledge of organizational operations, policies, and banking laws and regulations. This role supports risk-based internal audit assurance activities within Truist's finance and regulatory reporting division.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent education and related training or experience
- Two to four years banking, auditing or other relevant experience related to area of responsibility
- Good analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy
- Ability to grasp the underlying concepts in complex information
- Ability to identify root causes of problems
- Ability to formulate solutions based on a synthesis of information
- Basic knowledge of audit principles, practices, and methodologies including risk assessment, and audit documentation
- Good aptitude for learning analytical, audit and/or facilitation skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently with moderate oversight

Desired Qualifications
- Possess appropriate professional certification or be a certification candidate
- Possess knowledge of Truist Audit Services audit software and business specific software
