Internal Auditor and Risk Analyst

Job Summary
Prepare a risk-based annual audit plan and execute testing on internal controls, financial reporting controls, and operations to confirm design and operating effectiveness. Support planning and execution of internal audits, including walkthroughs, control testing, root cause analysis for deficiencies, and documentation in accordance with professional standards. Track, monitor, and support remediation of audit findings by partnering with process owners to ensure timely resolution. Assess adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and anti-bribery/fraud laws, including UK and US legislations. Maintain risk and control matrices across financial, operational, and IT processes while preparing periodic dashboards for senior stakeholder review. Monitor Key Risk Indicators, maintain the enterprise risk register, and assist in developing ERM policies and tools. Partner with business units to implement remediation strategies and embed risk management practices. Work closely with the central accounting team in Milton Keynes to ensure proper documentation of key accounting activities.
Required Qualifications
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or IIA)
- 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, SOX testing, internal controls testing within finance, operations, IT environments (ITGC), or risk management
- Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, and auditing principles
- Proficiency in audit methodologies, testing approaches, and documentation standards
- Familiarity with risk and control matrices (RCMs), remediation tracking, and control design assessment
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and recommend improvements to risk mitigation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with process owners and senior stakeholders
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Willingness to travel from time to time (20%)
