Job Summary
Manage complex audit engagements for the Sun Life Capital Management portfolio, ensuring proper coverage of auditing principles and practices. Document business understanding, risks, performance metrics, and testing strategies for each assignment while conducting opening and closing meetings with clients. Supervise senior auditors, prepare internal audit reports with findings and recommendations, and monitor progress to ensure timely resolution of issues. Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics within audits and foster a high-performance team environment. This role supports the long-term competitive advantage of the company through proactive risk management in asset management.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant professional designation (CPA, CFA, CIA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Internal Audit
- Asset Management (incl. Infrastructure/Real Estate/Private Credit) or Financial Services background
- Solid technical audit skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of audit techniques, including planning, scoping, project management, evaluation and testing of internal controls
- Knowledge of or exposure to IT Risk and IT General Controls
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Internal Audit preferred
- Data analytics experience
- Proactive, energetic self-starter with the ability to manage and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate, influence and network effectively
