Job Summary
Internal Applications Developer designs, builds, and maintains internal web applications and integrations that connect Mr. Marine's business systems into a unified, efficient platform. Working under the IT Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into scalable software solutions across the full stack (TypeScript/React frontend; Java and/or Node.js backend) with API integrations to ERP/CRM/operational tools and third-party systems (including SAP). The role emphasizes connecting internal data sources, developing AI Agent workflows to automate processes, and ensuring performance, reliability, and security through code reviews, testing, and monitoring. Responsibilities also include documenting architectures and data flows, supporting MRM-related data processes and SAP data cleansing, onboarding users, contributing to platform evolution using AI frameworks and modern tooling, and communicating technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend development
- Backend development experience with Java and/or Node.js
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and/or GraphQL
- Familiarity with AI Agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI API, LlamaIndex, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex
- SAP API integration experience is a strong advantage
- Version control with Git; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
- Familiarity with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 internal tooling
- Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to work through ambiguous requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively
- Collaborative team player comfortable working across IT and business functions
- Cross-cultural awareness in an international maritime environment
- Self-starter with a genuine appetite for learning new technologies
