Job Summary
Assist engineers with transportation, traffic, active transportation, and public works projects while supporting the preparation of plans, reports, cost estimates, and technical documents. Perform research, data collection, and basic engineering calculations, gaining experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools. Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and occasional field visits to learn from experienced professionals through mentorship and training opportunities. This Civil Engineering Intern role supports municipal and county clients throughout Southern California. Current students pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering are eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Interest in Transportation and/or Public Works Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional consulting environment
