Job Summary
In-person internship in Tulsa, Oklahoma supporting Thunder Fellows program operations: assist with event setup and logistics, help plan and execute events (open houses, onboarding, guest speakers, showcases, field trips, professional development), coordinate summer programming logistics, maintain student data and communications with mentors and partners, draft and distribute communications to students, families, alumni, and partners, capture photo/video content to support documentation and marketing, create/update visual materials and presentations, manage instructional materials and inventories, and provide general administrative support (scheduling, data entry, filing, printing, calendar coordination). Requires current college enrollment, course-credit eligibility, strong MS Office skills, organization and time management, teamwork, problem-solving, effective communication, and a valid driver’s license for occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive course credit for the internship
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; PowerPoint a plus
- Organization and time management skills to successfully prioritize and complete projects
- Self-starter who is also comfortable with team collaboration and supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and resilience in the face of change
- Strong interpersonal talents including speaking, writing, and listening skills and experience using various modes of communication including text and social media
- Possess significant knowledge of and/or connections to the Tulsa area
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for occasional travel
- This internship does not provide housing or transportation
- In-person internship, reporting to the Operations Specialist, Thunder Fellows
- The work schedule requires 15-29 hours per week
- The primary work location will be the Thunder Fellows headquarters located in Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District
