Job Summary
Conduct research on AI-based technologies for mineral exploration and mining to enhance domestic value addition. Collect and analyze data on energy and resource requirements for AI-integrated operations. Map infrastructure, capabilities, and skill needs for domestic manufacturing of critical mineral supply chain machinery. Synthesize literature and datasets to identify gaps in policy and investment frameworks. Assist with programme structuring, prepare presentations and factsheets, and contribute to research reports. Accompany team members on stakeholder meetings, prepare minutes, and support outreach activities through webinars and workshops. This three-to-six-month on-site or remote role reports to a Research Analyst within the Technology Futures team at CEEW.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed higher education or Master's in a relevant field such as Engineering/ public policy
- Fundamental knowledge and experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft 365
- Sound understanding of the relevant fields of study
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn new research
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment
