Job Summary
Mechanical Engineering Intern to support upgrades to the manual lidding press, clip system, and prototype snap-cure machine. Assist with system qualification, process evaluation, and improvements aimed at enhancing equipment capability and reliability. Responsibilities include design of small-volume/prototype lidding machine, supporting qualification activities for the new machine, assisting in completing and validating the prototype snap cure machine, collecting process data, documenting results, and presenting findings to the engineering team. Work with engineering and production staff to evaluate system performance and implement process improvements; prepare documentation and communicate results. Qualifications emphasize pursuing a Mechanical/Automation/Mechatronics degree, CAD skills, hands-on manufacturing experience, and interest in automation and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation/Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. A Junior or Senior student is preferred for this internship program.
- Strong CAD design, analytical, mechanical aptitude, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work hands-on with manufacturing equipment and follow engineering procedures.
- Interest in automation, machine evaluation, and process improvement.
