Job Summary
Conduct research and development activities in systems safety with emphasis on Model Based Safety Analysis methods and tools. Assist with the development, deployment, and execution of system safety analysis, product security analysis, and model-based engineering solutions. Gain exposure to methods and tools ensuring safe, secure, and reliable aerospace systems while collaborating with experienced engineers. This six-month internship is 100% onsite in Madrid, Spain, for students fluent in English.
Required Qualifications
- Student status
- Experience or strong interest in Python and/or Matlab
- Knowledge of GUI development, data visualization, or software tool development
- Fluent in both verbal and written English
- Must be legally able to work in Spain
- Position is expected to be 100% onsite
- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite

Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to topics such as 25.1309, ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-326/DO-356, safety analysis, product security analysis, or hazard assessments is a plus, but not required
- Interest in systems engineering tools and processes such as SysML or Cameo Systems Modeler
- Background in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- Exposure to aircraft systems architecture or safety processes such as ARP4754B and ARP4761A is a plus
- Intrinsic aptitude for taking initiative
- Ability to take ownership of work activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse engineering team
