Job Summary
Intern, Systems Engineering to support requirements management and data analysis using DOORS NG; Collaborate with systems and project teams to ensure high-quality requirements, strong traceability, and meaningful performance insights through data. Develop and track KPI metrics, create dashboards (Excel, Power BI) for stakeholders, and assist in improving requirements workflows and documentation. Eligible for a referral program; located in Toronto, Ontario with hybrid work arrangement; Egis Canada is an equal opportunities employer.
Required Qualifications
- Education in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Data Analytics Engineering, or Computer Science (Bachelor's level)
- Experience with DOORS NG or similar requirements tools
- Proficiency with MS Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas)
- Knowledge of requirements lifecycle and traceability
- Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving mindset
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Exposure to IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) (preferred)
- Understanding of systems engineering/product development lifecycle (Agile or V-model)
- Evidence of past internship in transportation sector (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with IBM DOORS NG or similar tools (e.g., Jira, Polarion)
- Proficiency with MS Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas)
- Data analysis skills and KPI reporting
- Strong attention to detail and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Exposure to IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) (preferred)
- Understanding of systems engineering/product development lifecycle (Agile or V-model)
- Experience with data processing and dashboards (Excel, Python, VBA)
- Evidence of past internship in transportation sector (preferred)
