Job Summary
Senior Accounting Specialist Intern role focusing on applying accounting knowledge to month-end close, accounts payable, payroll processing, and general ledger tasks. Responsibilities include data analysis, supporting accounts payable objectives, assisting with payroll processing and reporting requirements, and contributing to a team-oriented accounting function. Ideal candidates are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, with strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a 3.0+ GPA; US citizenship and successful background/drug screening are required. Compensation is $25.00/hour. This internship develops practical accounting experience in a structured summer program.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or related field
- Preference for Juniors and Seniors
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must complete and have a favorable result on a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
