Job Summary
Maintain laboratory reared insect colonies and assist in testing pest control products to ensure reliable data compliance with protocols. Support laboratory documentation by developing test protocols, recording testing data and results, and preparing reports. Manage entomology inventory and consumable materials while keeping the workspace safe, clean, and organized per safety regulations. This 6-month internship requires partial weekend and holiday shifts and is open to candidates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Entomology or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Entomology, Biology, Zoology, Public Health or a related field
- Fluent in English
- Ability and willingness to work partial shifts on weekends and holidays
- 6 Months
- 0-5% Travel
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with / Strong interest in learning insect biology and testing methods
- Experience with insect rearing activities and pest management is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, attention to details and ability to follow protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
