Job Summary
Prepare, compile, and sort documents substantiating business transactions including invoices, cash, checks, and account statements. Verify, code, and post details of funds received and disbursed to ledgers or databases while auditing invoices against purchase orders. Assist in developing month-end and annual accounting cycles, reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, and monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure payments are up-to-date. Review, balance, and interpret computer reports, making necessary corrections. Promptly assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services. This part-time, in-office internship offers hands-on experience in regulatory research, compliance, and financial reporting for a multi-state property and casualty leader.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in college
- Entering sophomore-senior year in college
- Ability to work legally in the United States
- No visa sponsorship available
