Job Summary
Intern, Programs will participate in rotations across Jobs, Friendship, Transitions, and Family Support programs, supporting event planning, outreach, volunteer coordination, and development activities. Responsibilities include organizing participant paperwork, assisting in job searching and internship activities, helping with events and leadership conferences, creating social media content, drafting donor communications, and researching potential sponsors. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, organization, and comfort engaging with individuals with IDD, with opportunities to gain exposure to nonprofit program management and development tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of social media and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Must be comfortable engaging with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Must be comfortable making asks to potential sponsors and businesses you may not know to support Best Buddies
- Ability to come to the Best Buddies office in Boston, MA 3 days a week
