Job Summary
Intern, Programs (Summer) at Best Buddies International — gain a holistic view across the organization's programs (Jobs, Friendship, Transitions, and Eunie’s Buddies) with hands-on experience in office-based rotations of 8-10 weeks. The internship supports the IDD community through events, school visits, job-site activities, and development efforts. Responsibilities span program coordination, participant paperwork organization, assisting job searches, event planning, ambassador trainings, social media posts, donor/sponsor outreach, and volunteer coordination, with opportunities to learn about nonprofit management, business development, and inclusive programming.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of social media and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Must be comfortable engaging with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Must be comfortable making asks to potential sponsors and businesses you may not know to support Best Buddies
- Ability to come to the Best Buddies office in Boston, MA 3 days a week
- Have reliable transportation
